"My dear friend of 30 years plus was adamant that she wished to remain in her own home surrounded by friends and pets and belongings she had known all her life. Diagnosed with multiple levels of dementia it was essential she felt secure, her surroundings and routine were as she had always known them and therefore after several approaches, we went to Access Care for 24-hour/7 days a week care. Initial contact was thorough and wide-ranging - everything to fit in with my friend's lifestyle and wishes and after considering a number of detailed profiles of potential carers the lady of our choice duly arrived and almost immediately many of the everyday stresses and worries were shared and then removed. As demands became greater we had two carers, 8 weeks on 8 weeks off with our two girls in constant contact with each other so everyone was on board with all care needs right through to current favourite food. The care was excellent - respectful, so conscientious, caring, a member of the family."
