At Access Care, we’re so passionate about helping families provide the best possible support for their loved ones. We specialise in introducing fully vetted, professional live-in carers who are dedicated to ensuring your loved one can stay in their own home, surrounded by comfort, familiarity, and treasured memories. With decades of experience, we’ve earned our reputation as a much trusted Live-in Care agency in the UK.
Every Access Care live-in carer that we recommend has undergone stringent background checks to make sure that their skills and personality match the specific needs of the individuals they provide home care support for. If you’re seeking compassionate home care in the UK, we’re here to offer home care solutions tailored to your loved one’s needs.
The Access Care Story
Our story began in 1994. Judie Tighe, who founded Access Care, recognised a gap in the Live-in Care market after seeing the challenges her mother faced in finding care for her father following a hospital admission.
Driven by this experience, Judie made it her mission to improve the process of arranging home care, making sure that both those in need and their families have access to a courteous, efficient, and safe Live-in Care service.
Over the years, we’ve grown from our humble beginnings into a nationwide leader in home care services. This growth has been driven by our unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care and building lasting relationships with the families we support.
At the heart of Access Care is a family-oriented ethos. We understand that every family’s needs are unique, and this understanding is reflected in the personalised care solutions that we provide for every one of our live-in care clients.
What’s Included in Live-In Care?

When you work with us, we tailor every detail of the care solutions to suit your loved one’s needs. And with Access Care, providing Live-in Care in the UK is quick and stress-free to arrange.
Why Choose Live-In Care Over a Residential Home?
Live-in Care offers a unique range of benefits compared to traditional care homes. Most importantly, it helps your loved one stay in the environment they know and love - their own home.
For couples, home care allows them to remain together while sharing support from a single live-in carer, which is both comforting and cost-effective. Additionally, home care can often be arranged more swiftly than other types of care, providing peace of mind for families during urgent and emergency situations.
Access Care Client Testimonials
What Client Testimonials Mean to Us
Home care client testimonials are a reflection of the trust and gratitude families place in our home care services. They inspire us to continually provide exceptional live-in care and demonstrate the meaningful difference we make in the lives of our home care clients and their loved ones.
"I would like to thank you all for the help you gave us in recent months with looking after Elizabeth. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have had you working on our behalf from the first time James made contact with you. Like many families, we were not finding it at all easy to find carers who could meet Elizabeth’s requirements and stay with us, but it became so much easier from November when Diana joined us as the first of the ‘Access ladies’.
Thank you for your patience and helpfulness, and understanding of Elizabeth’s needs, in making all the arrangements for us. Every one of the carers showed such kindness and understanding of Elizabeth’s illness backed by their huge knowledge and experience. They took the rough with the smooth, nothing was too much trouble and they were always so considerate of us, her family, as well. We don’t know how they do it and can’t thank them enough.
Each one of them brought something of their own to Elizabeth; Diana taking her on excursions, sending photos of her happy and enjoying herself; Stef patient and kind even turning her hand to plumbing; Gail whose dogs and budgie brought joy to Elizabeth; Jurate who mucked in and got on with the job efficiently and kindly; Rosie who gave us some of the best weeks Elizabeth had recently getting her conversing and socializing with her friends after a long gap; Maria so caring and cheerful giving Elizabeth some fun and laughter. Finally, Eva who is a very special lady. We were so blessed she joined us for the last few increasingly difficult weeks. It was obvious how mutually fond of each other they were and it is sad they did not have longer together. She recognized time was short and did everything she could to keep Elizabeth comfortable and calm. She went the extra mile sorting things out in the house to ease the burden on us after Elizabeth had gone.
Thank you again for everything Access Care did for Elizabeth and us, we would not hesitate to recommend you."
