Young Adult Live-in Care

Live-in care allows younger adults (considered as the 18-65yrs old) to take advantage of the benefits of supported living on a one-to-one basis in the comport of their own home. With costs comparable to residential care settings, young adult live-in care is a perfect solution affording independence, flexibility and choice which suits the demands of the modern world.

Just because you benefit from 24hr support doesn’t mean that you must give up your independence, freedom, choice and desires in life. Our carers/PAs strive to assist you to live your life the way you choose to live it and will be there to support you in any way they can.

Whether you are a young adult at work, in further education, whether you go to the gym regularly, join quiz nights at your local, have a hectic social life with mates or do sports or other hobbies we can help you to achieve your goals.

Our carers live with you in your accommodation (be it home/university or other), which enables them to be on hand when you need them.

There is no fixed timetable, you are free to adapt your care plan as you see fit and your carer will accommodate your wishes whilst also ensuring your and his/her safety as best they can.

Aside from any personal care needs, such as bathing, toileting, medication assistance, cooking, housekeeping, laundry and shopping, your live-in carer can accompany you as much or as little as you need.

Working 9-5: If you work, he/she can deliver you safely to your office, stay whilst you work if necessary and transport you home afterwards. They can even pop out to grab your lunch! Whatever works for you! Many of our carer’s drive, and if you have a car they can really be of service to you.

Studying: If you are studying at university/college, your carer will live with you in your ‘digs.’ Working closely with your support team on campus he/she will ensure you are at your lectures on time, participate in any sports you wish and are ready for the hectic social life that will no doubt ensue.

Your carer will also be on hand to help create the quiet environment that you may crave for study too. Our Care Manager will liaise on your behalf with your university/college, occupational therapists and all other relevant authorities to ensure you are fully prepared to achieve your every ambition at university whilst being supported in an unobtrusive manner.

Socialising: Weddings, birthday parties, theatre trips, pub nights – there’s no end of socialising that happens in everybody’s life and your carer can help you prepare for, attend and enjoy each and every one of these events.

From taking your picture with loved ones, to helping apply your make-up and fix your hair before you go, there is no task they won’t help you with if they can.

If your living at home, your carer can help you prepare to entertain your family and friends there too! Your family and friends can of course visit you whenever you wish and because we know life can change in the blink of an eye, your carer will adapt your personal care to suit you. So, if you want to pop out at short notice you can!

Social Networking: These days, everyone’s doing it! Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Blogging, Skype, you name it, your carer can help you stay in touch with old friends and meet new ones.

Travelling: Get out there and see the world! Do you dream of this? You can make it a reality with the assistance of a full time carer. They are happy to travel with you wherever you wish to go, whether you are going on a week’s holiday, or planning more exotic travels.
