"I had been receiving care from a local Domiciliary Care Agency for a few hours a day with two Carers visiting at each call. I have Multiple Sclerosis which had severely affected by mobility which meant I needed regular visits from Carers throughout the day. This became expensive and after a stint in hospital my daughter began to look into alternatives for my care. My daughter had tried staying with me but she has her own life, family and a business to run.

I went to a respite home for MS sufferers but this was miles from my home and family. Then my daughter suggested coming home and having a Carer come and live with me - Live In Care. At first I was apprehensive as I was unsure about having someone else staying in my house, but I need not have worried. The Carer was here when I arrived back from the residential home almost a year ago and has been my long term carer ever since.

Having Live In Care allows me to get out in my electric wheelchair and get the bus into town and to the beachfront. We have even been over to Portsmouth for the afternoon. We chat a lot and she is excellent company. Whatever needs doing around the house from watering plants and cooking meals to my personal care and hoisting me in and out of bed in the evening is done wonderfully. I have a lovely garden which overlooks the sea and we are able to potter around out there together. My family all get on brilliantly with the carer and having her means I am able to remain in my home and be close to family and friends. Live In Care is the best thing I've ever had."
